The below haiku from Issa was my inspiration. Plus I really do not want to start the day. π

This haiku is difficult to picture and, therefore, to translate. My best guess is that Issa is starting a fire at dawn. Every time he hits a “fire chip” (tsukegi-tsuki)–a chip of cypress wood coated with sulphur–a nearby frog answers with a croak.

As I stirred my coffee today I thought about the physics behind the reason why when I stir my coffee the pitch changes. It is called the Allassonic Effect or more colloquially named “The Hot Chocolate Effect.
