Blue Heron Ver. 2

Standard

under the heron’s wings
hides the dark of winter-
frogs dare not shiver

Second attempt at the image. Still something is not quite right.

Read version 1 for comparison

  1. When despair for the world grows in me, and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be — I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought or grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.”
    Wendell Berry

  2. Okay, slightly superficial response here, but I loved the mention of herons here! There are five that live in the tall trees outside my window and they are just a joy to watch.

    This is very cool. 🙂

  3. Love seeing your revisions…maybe I have already told you…seeing the progression is just fun (and helpful).
