When despair for the world grows in me, and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be — I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought or grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.”
Wendell Berry
Very nice
Okay, slightly superficial response here, but I loved the mention of herons here! There are five that live in the tall trees outside my window and they are just a joy to watch.
This is very cool. 🙂
Love seeing your revisions…maybe I have already told you…seeing the progression is just fun (and helpful).

You should link to the first one for quicker comparison. I like it though.
good idea. Done.
I never remember things like that either. I just went back and added very important links to an older post. I kept thinking, “Why didn’t I do that before?” Glad I could help. 🙂
still thinking… what I like is the heron wings and winter combi, .. you will get there I’m sure of it.
Ciao, Francina
